Roland MPU-401

This was an old bit of MIDI gear I had from the early ’90s. I sold it to a “tube, circuit-board and solder” guy who was going to replicate old electronics to re-create the grand old day of the DOS PC. Old yes! Grand? Not so much.

  1. Pete, thanks for the update! Is it possible that you could send pictures and/or post links to give “us” some “better” idea of what it is that you are creating?

    I’m feeling very solder-y these days — I recently went to the local Radio Shack and bought some 10K resistors so’s to be able to test XLR Phantom Power output to microphones from my Zoom H5 handheld recorder.
